The North American Choral Company is the only music education and performance organization for young people in West Michigan that has as its mission and purpose the fusion of music, other arts and the humanities and focuses on incorporating these disciplines in all its programming. It is also the sole organization that brings these programs into multiple public schools during the academic day. Because of this the north american choral company brings to the residents of West Michigan exposure to the connecting of music to religion, history, literature and culture and does so in a way that is accessible to everyone.

Integral to the NACC is programming that can inform and shape the world-view of those who come within its reach. We believe that by bringing together people from diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences and facilitating meaningful dialogue between these groups that a shared understanding will ensue. From that understanding, partnerships will be cultivated that broaden and deepen the cultural awareness in the community. Once the partnerships are established, the process of asking questions and exploring various histories and shared experiences is possible. But the nacc goes further than asking the questions. It couples that open curiosity with the exploration of the music, history, culture, religion and art of diverse groups and show that the most common link between people is music.
