Music has the power to sooth the senses and quiet the mind, to heal and to move the soul. To take us to a place of stillness and silence, peace and harmony, love and beauty. This concert calls us to stop the rush and listen, to breath and absorb this night of healing chants and spiritual songs of various religions and cultures as we relax into the sounds of the mystical music and innocent young voices. The soft light of candles, the scent incense and pure voices draw us inside ourselves to give us hope and light.

The repertoire will bring direct our awareness of nature in many different ways, using words, melodies, rhythms and sounds from different traditions...from the Native American based Mi'kmaq Honour Song, to Paul Halley's Freedom Trilogy, and from Aulis Sallinen's classic choral suite, Songs from the Sea, to Pete Seeger's Where Have All the Flowers Gone.
