The North American Choral Company presents: Michigan Sings!

Mark Jackson, NACC music director, vocal jazz artist Sunny Wilkinson, and the singers from the NACC present music from 10 of the A-List vocal artists that have come from Michigan.  Along with populating the country and world with automobiles Michigan has had an enormous impact of the music world from Jazz to Hip-Hop and everything in between.  You’ll learn about Betty Carter, Aretha Franklin, the Winans, and Eminem and why we in the real Mitten State have lead the world with that Pure Michigan sound.

Made possible in part by a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council, All Michigan Sings concerts are free and open to the public.

The NACC has opportunities for kids from 8 to 18
during the school year and over the summer.

The award-winning North American Choral Company has openings available in its after-school program. Interested boys and girls ages 8 to 18 are encouraged to tryout and no prior music education is necessary. Auditions are by appointment and take place throughout the year.

The audition process is simple: candidates may sing a song of their choice or "Happy Birthday" and be able to sing basic music patterns. For more information or to schedule an audition, contact the NACC by phone, 616-774-9268 or by e-mail, contact@thechoralcompany.com.

Young people who participate receive voice training and develop performance and sight-singing skills. Choristers in performance divisions will have the opportunity to sing in some of the most important concert halls in North America and abroad, with professional musicians and with some of today's top artists.
